Lifted by Naughty Boy featuring Emeli Sande

You know those moments when you hear a song for the first time? It can be anywhere, but suddenly, you're so moved. I heard this song, Lifted, when I was out and I was like...yeah, this is beautiful. And of course, when researching it, I learned it's a collaboration between Naughty Boy and Emeli Sande. I love Emeli! And apparently, the two of them tend to collaborate often.

I recently asked my music teacher, why does music move us? What is it that pushes us to think on a deeper level, to feel more emotion, to get to higher levels in our existence? I mean, take a piano. It has 88 keys. 88 keys and somehow, when you blend those keys, they pull at us in these unexpected ways.

I won't say much on this song. Just that the house beat, the lyrics, the strings in the back mix to create this feeling... so gorgeously soulful to me. We know how my brain is wired;)
