Hold On by Camila Recchio

I went to Lucid last night and watched 3 performers who elevated the space to a new level. And I was floored. Have you ever been in a situation like that? Where words, music, dance, etc. can transform a physical space so deeply?

There were probably 50 to 80 people present, so it was super intimate. Lucid is this jazz bar I fell in love with a few years back. It has so much soul and heart within it. The crowd was warm and the performers were accessible/easy to talk to after they did their sets.

So I'm featuring Camila Recchio in this love post. She's from Seattle and her music made us just nod our heads in agreement with her lyrics and at how beautiful and profound she was. She's got this gentle spirit and yet her voice (as you'll hear) and her chord progressions are so vulnerable and deep.

Listen to 'Hold On,'...you could just feel the entire audience ebb/flow with her and feel how moved we were last night when she performed this. Music is amazing like that.

"I was so brilliant and convinced that it will be alright
You let me down to the darker side...

Hold me back
I found myself again
I keep on trippin trying
to hold on...

I fell in love with a boy
who broke my heart
I knew it was over
right after the start..."
